About Hugh Fraser

Yes, the friendly, approachable chap in the photo is yours truly.

Fraser Translations is me, no one else. So when you deal with Fraser Translations, you know exactly who you’re dealing with.

I am friendly and helpful. This means that if I can’t help you myself, I will be more than happy to direct you to someone who can. See me as a springboard to solving your translation problems!

testifies, I am a qualified member of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting (ITI). This is more good news for you, as it means I am in touch with a network of other able translators* who I can put you in touch with too.

I’ve spent my fair share of time in German and Russian-speaking countries – about 2 years in each – and am regularly in touch with friends (and clients) in both. Language changes over time (think “emoji” and “selfie stick”) but thankfully for you, I stay abreast of these changes, so your translations are always as authentic and up-to-date as the originals.

If you like qualifications, you’ll love mine: I hold a BA in German and Russian and an MA in interpreting and translation. And I had to do an exam to become a member (or “MITI”) of the ITI. So my skills are not just appreciated by my wonderful clients, but thoroughly officially accredited as well.

Apart from being a translator and entrepreneur I am also a husband, dad to two kids, enthusiastic singer, and beer connoisseur.
